Let me be (things not thought through thoroughly)

By Mathiba Len Molefe

Let me be (things not thought through thoroughly)

So many things, that I can’t become, from which I cannot run, they won’t let me be

And you expect of me, what I cannot see, as my destiny, so just let me be

Because I cannot breathe, in your company, your essence stifles me, so just let me be

And I’ve come to know, that I cannot grow, amidst this ebb and flow, so just let me be

I’ve been ostracised, I’ve been compromised, somebody broke my pride, so just let me be

Look into my eyes, and you realise, there’s nothing left inside, so just let me be

If you cannot tell, that I dwell in hell, a thing you’ve never felt, then just let me be

I wake to shedding tears, and I live in fear, nobody holds me dear, so just let me be

I hear so many lies, I hear so many cries, from deep within my mind, so just let me be

I see darkest scenes, that keep haunting me, from which I cannot flee, they won’t let me be

And though I can’t explain, the cause of this pain, seeping in like rain, please just let me be

I have so many dreams, that will never be, one with reality, but won’t let me be

What have I become, I’ve never felt so numb, as I become undone, they just let me be

Have I lost my way, have I gone astray, or was I blown away, when they let me be

What am I to do, can I confide in you, or should I hide the truth, and just let things be

I let confusion reign, what did I gain, with nothing to my name, so just let me be

As I write this ode, in ancient cryptic code, I wreck my soul’s abode, and just let thing be

Why should I pretend, who can I call my friend, everything has an end, so just let me be

Can simple word, cause my mind to stir, clear everything that is blurred, if not let me be

In this world of hate, me in this broken state, for your sake I rate, you just let me be

Archbishop Emeritas Desmond Tutu describes Ubuntu as the essence of being human. "You can't be human all by yourself, and when you have this quality – Ubuntu – you are known for your generosity. We think of ourselves far too frequently as just individuals, separated from one another, whereas you are connected and what you do affects the whole World. When you do well, it spreads out; it is for the whole of humanity."
And Nelson Mandela described Ubuntu in a story: "A traveler through a country would stop at a village and he didn't have to ask for food or for water. Once he stops, the people give him food, entertain him. That is one aspect of Ubuntu, but it will have various aspects. Ubuntu does not mean that people should not enrich themselves. The question therefore is: Are you going to do so in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?"

Futility (1)

I gather my thoughts in leaking hands and stand on an earth that crumbles beneath me
I place my trust in flawed individuals and plant my seeds of hope on barren land
I dream dreams that are soon to be forgotten and I’m sustained by air that is foul and rotten
I build an empire that I myself will tear down and live in a house that I myself will burn to the ground
I love a woman that I know will break my heart and I love again with that broken heart
I shed tears that evaporate in an instant and walk on a beach so the ocean engulfs my footprints
No trace of my passing or proof of my existence and still I go on with a hardy persistence
We prolong lives that will inevitably be taken and build on our faith that is so often shaken
We toil in fields that will not yield and we beat swords from steel but make wooden shields
We vote for change that brings no change and yet lay idle, aint that strange
Most perplexing is human futility, most curious is human activity.

Trippin as high as a mystic
Thoughts blasphemy and carnage somewhat sadistic
Not far from realistic
All the names I’ve been listed
As passive tactical genius massive asshole a dimwit
Regardless headless meaningless actions become instinct
Extinct common sense a rarity amongst infants
At mind but body grown but falls to pride in an instant
Folly child he has been warned but somehow he must have missed it
Reminiscent essence
Gifted hindsight in a sentence

https://twitter.com/mdakane4WE ARE HUMAN
we live in the same world
this not your world, we are here too.
we all have hearts that keep us alive.
i don't care what race you are, WE ARE HUMAN
Play Your Part
we born, we will die
live for each other
work to better us not you
you need us to get that life you need
we teach each other then you think or act like you're different
i am different at thought, WE HAVE A HEART
race is like an id number not that we are different
we all have them
WE ARE HUMAN
PLAY YOUR PART
THIS IS OUR WORLD
WE NEED TO BETTER IT
WE ARE HUMAN

“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”
― William W. Purkey

“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.”
― Mother Teresa

Do you know

Do you know why it is I grow cold

Why it is I'm afraid to grow old

And why my truth was never told

Do you know the true nature of my soul

Do you know why without you I'm not whole

And why by your side I call home

Do you know what images run through my mind

Do you know why your facade is so sublime

And why perfection lies in every line

Do you know the path I walk to what I seek

Do you know why it is that I'm so bleak

And why my world is at your feet

Do you know the words of which I ache to hear

Do you know why the future's so unclear

The truth is that I need you near

Do you know why it is I feel this way

Do you know why it is I'm blown away

And what it is that I can't say...

Do you know the name that's written on my heart

Do you know why it is it's torn apart

Putting it together, where to start

Do you know of all the questions in my mind

All of the answers that I just can't find

And what it is I left behind

Do you know the endless beauty that I see

My entity is stirred by your physique

Your curves enough to make me weak

Do you know the person lurking in my dreams

Know enough to tell me what it means

The truth is seldom what it seems

Do you know why my eyes trace lines upon your hips

Why my being aches to taste your lips

And be caressed by your finger tips

Do you know why it's bittersweet when you walk away

I'm glad I get to see your hips sway

But sad it's for the last time today

Do you know how hard it is to be at rest

Know how hard it beats within my chest

How hard it is to say the rest

My heart and soul are all a mess

Do you know how hard it is for me to live like this

Knowing that I am oh so close to bliss

But knowing something is amiss

Do you know of any words that can portray

What it is that I've been tryin to say

Something to end the games we play

Do you know I've only got myself to blame

Self inflicted pain is such a shame

But I can't help but feel this way

So do you know that Love's a dangerous game

know its one that we all have to play.

There's no place that we'll be safe

And Do you know your vision's an addiction

There is no rehab there is no prescription

To set me free from this affliction

Do you know Reality is that I do not know

The laws that cause this crazy love to grow

The laws of foolishness and hope.
